A Grand Day Out (in Bristol)
I’ve been sitting on these photos for ages, well nearly 6 months, and when I was given the push to write/blog about something travel related, after much searching through the last 18 months photos, I happened across this day out.
The reason for this grand day out (Wallace & Gromit rule!) was to get my friend James (the one without the dreadlocks) a decent haircut for his wedding. I was the best man, Chris (the one with the dreadlocks) was the usher and Ryan (the man cutting our hair) is an old friend of mine who kindly came into work on his day off to get us looking our best for the big day.
First off, I can’t recommend Ryan at Mack Daddy’s in Bristol enough, I’ve subsequently gone back to him despite living Cardiff, it is worth the trip to hang out with my friend, get an excellent haircut and beard trim.
Considering, it was actually my (32nd) birthday and was technically a part of the stag do, we couldn’t not pay a visit to one of Bristol’s finest eating establishments, Grillstock. This is high quality BBQ food served in the perfect environment. There is nothing quite as satisfying as eating a burger the size of your head whilst listening to Lynyrd Skynyrd and ZZ Top.
This might seem like an odd thing to share with the world, but it was a special day for me. My birthday was spent preparing for one of my best friends wedding and eating some of the finest BBQ I’ve eaten.
